Kefir is a kind of yoghurt that you can make yourself from fresh milk.
My mother used to eat that stuff when I was a kid, and I thought that it was yak.
However, a while back, the local supermarket did not have the yoghurt brand that I normally buy and
had instead ready-made Kefir on sale. I decided to buy the Kefir.
I tried the Kefir, and to my big surprise, it was not just OK, but I really liked it.
It seems to me that Kefir contains something that is not needed when you are young but is very beneficial when you are older.
Kefir is really good for gut health, and a healthy gut improves your immune system. In fact, it is said
that 70% of your body's immune response depends on your gut.
The winter is almost over and I was not even sick for one day even though people have
been coughing and sneezing left and right of me. I don't think that not getting sick was
just a coincidence.
All I did this year was taking 4000 IU of vitamin D3 in morning and I ate Kefir
with frozen blueberries every day.
